LuckLand Co., Ltd. (TSE:9612) concluded the contract to acquire VIET BOKUTO CO., LTD from Bokuto Kenzai Kogyo Co.,Ltd on February 20, 2018. The consideration is to acquire VIET BOKUTO CO., LTD and BK METAL CO., LTD and business of Bokuto Kenzai Kogyo Co., Ltd from Bokuto Kenzai Kogyo Co.,Ltd for ¥400 million. LuckLand Co., Ltd submitted a petition to begin rehabilitation procedures to the Tokyo District Court on December 28, 2017. The transaction is resolved by the Board of Directors of LuckLand Co., Ltd. The transaction is expected to close in early April 2018. On April 12, 2018, the transfer of business of Bokuto Kenzai Kogyo Co., Ltd will be scheduled on May 10, 2018 and the transfer of shares of VIET BOKUTO CO., LTD and BK METAL CO., LTD will take place immediately after obtaining approval from Vietnamese authorities which takes about 3 to 6 months to obtain approval.
