Clínica Baviera Reports Earnings Results for the First Half of 2016

Clínica Baviera reported earnings results for the first half of 2016. For the period, the company achieved sales of EUR 48 million, 12.4% greater than the sales figure for the same period in the previous year, with a solid growth rate in both the domestic market (+12.9%) and the international market (+11.1%). EBITDA increased 78.3% up to EUR 10 million, with a substantial improvement in margins, due to the growth of refractive laser surgery and the positive impact of operating leverage. In turn, EBIT and net profit were EUR 7 million and EUR 5 million, representing an increase of 150.3% and 157.7%, respectively, compared to the first half year of 2015. At June 30, 2016, the company had net cash position of EUR 2 million compared to a net debt of EUR 4 million in June 2015.
