Compañía Minera Autlán, S.A.B. De C.V. Announced earnings results for the second quarter ended June 30, 2019. For the second quarter, the company announced sales was USD 98.005 million compared to USD 101.145 million a year ago. Operating income was USD 4.966 million compared to USD 20.158 million a year ago. Net loss was USD 2.368 million compared to net income of USD 25.140 million a year ago. Basic loss per share was USD 0.00675 compared to basic earnings per share of USD 0.09256 a year ago. For the half year, sales was USD 214.324 million compared to USD 190.491 million a year ago. Operating income was USD 16.553 million compared to USD 41.131 million a year ago. Net income was USD 1.452 million compared to USD 28.564 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share was USD 0.09547 compared to USD 0.10417 a year ago.
Compania Minera Autlan SAB de CV is a Mexico-based company primarily engaged in the mining, exploitation, production and sale of manganese ore and manganese ferroalloys. The Companyâs activities are divided into three divisions: Ferroalloys, Manganese and Energy. The Ferroalloys division is responsible for the manufacture of manganese ferroalloys for steel sector, including high, medium and low carbon ferromanganese, as well as silicomanganese, among others. The Manganese division focuses on manufacturing of manganese nodules, manganese carbonates, battery and ceramic grade natural manganese dioxides and manganous oxide. The Energy division generates energy through hydroelectric power plant. The Company operates through a number of subsidiaries, such as Autlan Metal Services SA de CV, which offers complementary products of the steel industry to its customers. The Company is owned by Autlan Holding SAPI de CV.
