Vergnet reports that construction of the Agadez hybrid solar/diesel power plant in Niger, one of the largest hybrid photovoltaic projects in Africa and considered 'particularly strategic for the Group', is progressing apace.

The first factory deliveries of diesel generators and solar panels have taken place in recent weeks. The first shipment, involving the first of five batches of photovoltaic panels, took place at the beginning of December.

'Other major shipments, including that of the diesel generators, are already planned in the coming weeks for arrival on site in the first quarter of 2023', adds the renewable energies company.
