Minera Frisco, S.A.B. de C.V. reported earnings and operating results for the third quarter and nine months ended September 30, 2018. For the quarter, the company reported net sales of MXN 3,331.3 million compared to MXN 3,499.0 million a year ago. Operating income was MXN 137.5 million compared to MXN 479.6 million a year ago. Income before taxes was MXN 943.1 million compared to loss before taxes of MXN 465.7 million a year ago. Net income was MXN 521.2 million compared to net loss of MXN 549.7 million a year ago. EBITDA was MXN 1,136 million compared to MXN 1,288 million a year ago.
For the nine months, the company reported net sales of MXN 10,765.9 million compared to MXN 11,228.8 million a year ago. Operating income was MXN 947.0 million compared to MXN 1,553.1 million a year ago. Income before taxes was MXN 425.2 million compared to MXN 3,280.7 million a year ago. Net income was MXN 32.1 million compared to MXN 1,609.3 million a year ago. EBITDA was MXN 3,809 million compared to MXN 4,030 million a year ago.
For the quarter, the company reported Production of gold of 55,764 Oz compared to 77,946 Oz a year ago. Production of silver was 1,858,241 Oz compared to 2,089,592 Oz a year ago. Production of copper was 7,284 tonnes against of 4,830 tonnes a year ago.
For the nine months, the company reported Production of gold of 194,547 Oz compared to 255,101 Oz a year ago. Production of silver was 5,903,846 Oz compared 6,663,683 Oz a year ago. Production of copper was 20,896 tonnes against of 14,386 tonnes a year ago.
Minera Frisco SAB de CV is a Mexico-based company engaged in the exploration and exploitation of mineral resources. The Companyâs main activities comprise the production and sale of lead-silver concentrates, zinc concentrates, copper concentrates, copper in cathode and gold and silver rods. The staged operations include the location, investigation and compilation of information in the prospective areas considered for possible existence of minerals; conducting detailed geological study in the prospective areas, and finally conducting exploration methods directly in the prospective areas as a result of the previous stages.
