Xilam Animation is back on an upward slope on the Paris Bourse this Monday after announcing new broadcast contracts for its comedy series 'Zig & Sharko' and 'Karaté Mouton'.

Initially commissioned by French broadcaster Gulli, the 'Zig & Sharko' series was the studio's best-selling franchise of 2023, with rights renewals signed with historical partners Netflix, Warner Bros Discovery and Viacom in several markets.

The new season 4 of the series has also been sold in Italy, Belgium, Denmark, Norway, Slovakia, Greece and Africa.

Xilam reports that it has also attracted new partners for its 'Karate Mouton' series, notably in China, the Czech Republic and the United Arab Emirates.

With 114 hours available and seven series titles, Xilam is the leading European provider of children's animation content on Netflix. The studio has placed two titles in the top 15 of Netflix original animated series, making it the only non-American producer in the top 15.

The stock - which plummeted 88% on the stock market last year on the back of earnings warnings and a call to the market - recovered more than 2% on Monday morning after these announcements.
