The Lead Co., Inc. (TSE:6982) announces a share repurchase program. Under the program, the company will repurchase up to 54,400 shares, representing 2.07% of its share capital, at ¥479 per share for ¥26.06 million. The company will repurchase its shares in order to implement a flexible capital policy which responds to changes in the business environment. As of February 28, 2018, the company had 2,627,234 shares outstanding (excluding treasury shares) and 5,726 shares in treasury.
The Lead Co., Inc. is a Japan-based company mainly engaged in the manufacture and sale of outdoor lighting equipment, cabinets and automobile parts, such as sheet metal, painting and resin molding products. The Company operates in three segments. The Automobile Parts segment provides bumpers, spoilers, hand brake lever systems and others. The In-house Products segment provides information communications racks, general-purpose electronic equipment cases, chassis, solar lights and light-emitting diode (LED) lighting, among others. The Real Estate Leasing segment is engaged in the leasing of stores.
