Suez has announced the signature of three cooperation agreements with the Uzbek authorities to strengthen its support for the modernization of the water sector.

In addition to the recently implemented co-management contract for the modernization and improvement of water services in the capital Tashkent, three new agreements were signed today.

The agreements concern a Public-Private Partnership project in Surkhandarya province aimed at extending access to water in the Surkhandarya region; a Memorandum of Understanding and Cooperation on the Aral Culture Summit; and an Agreement for access to water and sanitation in rural schools in the Bukhara region.

We are determined to make this transformation of the Uzbek water sector a success, and a showcase for the entire Central Asian region, through a number of flagship projects", said Sabrina Soussan, Chairman and CEO of Suez.
