Suez announced yesterday that it had acquired 60% of 'Anaerobic Power Biogas Beneov spol. S r.o.' ('APBB'), a Czech company that is a pioneer in the methanization of waste.

With its twenty employees, APBB processes biowaste from private individuals, food manufacturers, supermarkets and restaurants in Prague and its suburbs, transforming it into biogas.

This acquisition enables Suez to extend the scope of its activities in the Czech Republic by gaining a foothold in the municipal and industrial waste management and green energy production markets.

CAYAN Holdings Limited ('CAYAN'), which currently holds 100% of the shares, retains 40% of the company's capital.
