Southern Acids (M)

Southern Acids (M) Berhad is a Malaysia-based company, which is engaged in manufacturing of oleochemical products. The Company operates through three segments: Oleochemical, Milling & Estate, and Healthcare. The Oleochemical segment is involved in the manufacturing and marketing of fatty acids and glycerin with a production mix ratio of approximately 90:10 between fatty acids and glycerin. The manufacturing plant is located in Kapar, Klang, which has an annual manufacturing capacity of approximately 100,000 metric tons (MT). The Milling & Estate Segment is principally engaged in the processing of fresh fruit bunches (FFB) into crude palm oil (POM) and palm kernel, as well as oil palm cultivation. It operates two POM located in Riau, Indonesia with a combined milling capacity of 100 MT per hour. The Healthcare Segment operates Sri Kota Specialist Medical Centre (Sri Kota), a 232-bedded private tertiary hospital located in Klang, Selangor.
