DÜSSELDORF (dpa-AFX) - According to a report, the Czech investor Daniel Kretinsky has significantly increased his stake in the wholesale group Metro. His investment company EP Global Commerce has increased its share package by 4.37 percentage points to 49.99 percent of the shares, the "Lebensmittelzeitung" reported on Wednesday. From a stake of 50 percent, he would then hold a direct majority in Metro.

At the same time, the free float has fallen from 29.39 percent to 25.02 percent, meaning that the Group will have to fear for its future in the SDax in the fall, it said. The electronics retailer Ceconomy still holds just under one percent of Metro./ngu/jsl/he
