Korea Steel Co., Ltd. reported earnings results for the third quarter and nine months ended September 30, 2021. For the third quarter, the company reported sales was KRW 95,988.28 million compared to KRW 38,985.1 million a year ago. Net income was KRW 11,995.94 million compared to net loss of KRW 1,670.55 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was KRW 225 compared to basic loss per share from continuing operations of KRW 49 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share from continuing operations was KRW 195. Basic earnings per share was KRW 225 compared to basic loss per share of KRW 49 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share was KRW 195.
For the nine months, sales was KRW 265,130.32 million compared to KRW 116,248.5 million a year ago. Net income was KRW 27,851.19 million compared to KRW 2,673.67 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was KRW 523 compared to KRW 81 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share from continuing operations was KRW 476. Basic earnings per share was KRW 523 compared to KRW 81 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share was KRW 476.
