The following is a Company Announcement by HSBC Bank Malta p.l.c. pursuant to the Capital Markets Rules issued by the Malta Financial Service Authority.

HSBC Bank Malta p.l.c. (the 'bank') announces that Dr George Brancaleone will be retiring from the bank and therefore resigning his post of Company Secretary of the bank with effect from 1 May 2022.

Dr Brancaleone joined the bank in 1980 and became one of its legal advisors in 1988 and was subsequently appointed as the bank's Company Secretary in 2004.

The Board of Directors has expressed its sincere gratitude towards Dr Brancaleone, for his outstanding, long and loyal service to the bank over the past 42 years.

The bank announces the appointment of Dr Paula Mamo LL.D. as Company Secretary of the bank with effect from 1 May 2022.

Dr Mamo presently resides at 25, Nirvana, Triq Sidtna tal-Angli, Zebbug.

Dr Mamo graduated as Doctor of Laws from the University of Malta in 2010 and joined the bank in February 2018 as Deputy Company Secretary supporting the Company Secretary. She was appointed Company Secretary for the two subsidiary companies of the bank, HSBC Life Assurance (Malta) Ltd and HSBC Global Asset Management (Malta) Limited in May 2018.

Prior to joining HSBC, Dr Mamo progressed through a number of roles primarily within legal, regulatory compliance and financial crime compliance, with other licensed financial institutions.

There are no matters concerning Dr Mamo that require disclosure under the Capital Markets Rules 5.20.5 to 5.20.9.
