eMedia Holdings Limited reported unaudited consolidated earnings results for the six months ended September 30, 2018. For the six months, the company reported revenue from continuing operations of ZAR 1,247,598,000 compared to ZAR 1,184,936,000 a year ago. Earnings before interest, taxation depreciation and amortization were ZAR 164,232,000 compared to ZAR 128,581,000 a year ago. Operating profit was ZAR 85,375,000 compared to ZAR 52,061,000 a year ago. Profit before taxation was ZAR 81,059,000 compared to ZAR 34,948,000 a year ago. Profit for the year from continuing operations was ZAR 48,436,000 compared to ZAR 18,755,000 a year ago. Profit for the period was ZAR 81,059,000 compared to loss of ZAR 730,000 a year ago. Profit attributable to owners of the company was ZAR 11,317,000 against loss of ZAR 2,494,000 a year ago. Basic earnings per share were 2.55 cents compared to loss per share of 0.56 cents a year ago. Revenue reflected an increase of 5.3% ending the period on ZAR 1.2 billion despite the tough economic conditions.
