YIT and Agrokoncernas Group have entered into a contract on a modern cow farm complex to be built in the Radvili?kis region. The contract is worth approximately EUR 53 million and is included in the order book for the second quarter of 2024. The total area of the premises in the complex will reach approximately 78 000 square metres.

The construction of the complex is starting in May 2024 and it is expected to be completed by September 2026. The complex being developed on a plot of 53 hectares will include buildings, infrastructure facilities and will be equipped with modern engineering solutions. In addition, a biomethane power plant is planned to be built in the complex.

The manure entering the power plant will turn into raw material for the production of green energy. The capacity of the designed power plant is 1.77 MW. The premises of the farm complex will be heated with energy-saving efficient air-water heat pumps.

In order to enable employees to use environmentally friendly transport, charging stations for electric cars will be installed.
