(MT Newswires) -- Against a backdrop of struggling electric vehicle sales in 2022 and 2023, Brian Gu, vice-president of Xpeng, remains optimistic for 2024. The group expects sales to grow thanks to the introduction of new models (G5 and G7), which should strengthen its position in the EV market. As far as international expansion is concerned, Gu hopes to partially roll out their autonomous driving software, XGP, at the end of the year in Europe. He also indicates that the company does not have a precise timetable defined for its entry into the North American market. Finally, he mentions the company's futuristic ambitions, with plans to develop a flying car. Although this project is expected to take shape in a few years' time.
