Wei Chih Steel Industrial Co., Ltd. (TWSE:2028) announces a share repurchase program. Under the program, the company will repurchase up to 2,000,000 shares, representing 0.61% of its issued share capital for the total worth of TWD 821.23 million. The shares will be repurchased within the price range of TWD 18 to TWD 25 per share.
The repurchased shares will be transferred to employees. The program will continue through January 12, 2024. As of November 10, 2023, the company has 1,264,000 shares in treasury.
