Vitru Limited reported earnings results for the third quarter and nine months ended September 30, 2023. For the third quarter, the company reported sales was BRL 488 million compared to BRL 400.8 million a year ago. Net loss was BRL 2.8 million compared to net income of BRL 35.8 million a year ago. Basic loss per share from continuing operations was BRL 0.08 compared to basic earnings per share from continuing operations of BRL 1.25 a year ago. Diluted loss per share from continuing operations was BRL 0.08 compared to diluted earnings per share from continuing operations of BRL 1.13 a year ago.
For the nine months, sales was BRL 1,453.7 million compared to BRL 886.6 million a year ago. Net income was BRL 140.5 million compared to BRL 80.7 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was BRL 4.16 compared to BRL 3.13 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share from continuing operations was BRL 3.94 compared to BRL 2.89 a year ago.
