Spain's Vidrala has appointed CFO Raul Gomez as chief financial officer effective June 30, the consumer packaging company said Wednesday.

The board of directors will consider the proposal of outgoing CEO Gorka Schmitt, who led the company for 13 years, as a member of the board of directors, the company said.

The firm also proposed an extraordinary dividend of 4 euros ($4.33) per share, provided the announced agreement to sell its Italian unit is completed.
