ELLWANGEN (dpa-AFX) - The cyber attack announced in February continues to preoccupy the battery group Varta. The Management Board has decided to postpone the publication of the annual financial reports, the company announced on Friday in Ellwangen. It is now aiming for a date after April 30, but this has yet to be determined. The publication was originally planned for March 28. A new date must also be found for the Annual General Meeting scheduled for May 23. The share price slipped.

Varta announced in mid-February that it had fallen victim to hackers. As a security measure, the company shut down its IT systems. This led to an unplanned delay in the finalization and completion of the audit of the financial reports.

Access to financial information and business documents was and is still not possible or only possible to a very limited extent. According to Varta, it now has partial access to its IT systems again. Production has also been restarted in large parts, but there are still considerable disruptions./lew/mis
