Tanaka Seimitsu Kogyo Co., Ltd. (TSE:7218) announces a share repurchase program. Under the program, the company will repurchase up to 150,000 shares, representing 1.54% of its issued share capital (excluding treasury stock), for a total purchase price of ¥117.90 million. The shares will be repurchased at a price of ¥786 per share.
The purpose of the program is to implement flexible capital policy in response to changes in the business environment. As of September 30, 2023, the company has 9,760,745 issued shares (excluding treasury stock) and 2,855 treasury shares.
TANAKA SEIMITSU KOGYO CO., LTD. is principally engaged in the manufacture and sale of automobile parts. The Company operates in five segments. The Japan segment is involved in the provision of variable valve timing and lift electronic control system (VTEC) rocker arm assemblies, synchronizer rings and springs, piston pins, crank pins, ball races, outboard retainers, valve spring retainers, valve spring seats, valve seats, stators, cam followers, valve lifters and piston pumps, among others, as well as the sale of automobiles under Civic, Odyssey and Fit names. The America segment provides variable valve timing and lift electronic control system (VTEC) rocker arm assemblies, outboard retainers and roller assemblies. The Thailand segment provides piston pins, crank pins, ball races, valve spring retainers and shafts, among others. The India segment engage in the manufacture of automobile parts. The Vietnam segment is engaged in the manufacture of piston pins, crankpins and others.
