Towa Arcs Co., Ltd. agreed to acquire Sotetsu Kosan Co., Ltd. from Sotetsu Holdings, Inc. (TSE:9003) on November 2, 2017. The board of Sotetsu Holdings resolved the transaction on November 2, 2017. Upon completion, Sotetsu Holdings will not own any stake in Sotetsu Kosan. For the year ended March 31, 2017, Sotetsu Kosan had sales of ¥12.5 billion, operating income of ¥118 million, net income of ¥89 million, total assets of ¥4.8 billion and net assets of ¥957 million. The share transfer will be carried out in two rounds, 0.3 million shares will be transferred in the first round on December 1, 2017 and 0.03 million shares will be transferred in the second round on December 1, 2020.
