Sociedad Punta Del Cobre SA (Pucobre) is a Chile-based mining company engaged in the exploration and exploitation of mineral resources, primarily copper in the III Chilean Region of Atacama. The Company’s facilities comprise two plants: the San Jose plant, which produces copper concentrates, and the Biocobre plant, which produces cathodes. The Company also, through its subsidiaries, has operations established in Canada. As of December 31, 2012, the Company owned fully consolidated subsidiary, El Esoino SA. In addition, Pacifico V Region SA was the Company’s majority shareholder with 84.67% of total share capital.
