Severfield PLC - North Yorkshire, England-based structural steel group - Awarded 'A List' spot by CDP in its annual environmental rankings. CDP, formerly known as the carbon disclosure project, is a non-profit organisation operating an environmental disclosure system for companies, cities, states and regions. After reviewing data from its climate change questionnaire for over 21,000 companies, Severfield was awarded the non-profit's highest ranking alongside only "a small number of companies". Severfield credits the achievement to a 33% reduction in its scope 1 and scope 2 greenhouse gas emissions since 2018, as well as its transition to green electricity tariffs.

Chief Executive Officer Alan Dunsmore said: "Our commitment to reducing our impact on climate change has never been clearer. As market leaders in the steel industry, we have a responsibility to display best practice when it comes to environmental disclosure, and we are pleased that CDP have recognised that we are delivering on this."
