Aircraft equipment supplier Safran reports sales of 6.22 billion euros for the first three months of 2024, up 18.1% on a reported basis and 19.1% organically, with double-digit growth in all its businesses.

Propulsion sales rose by 15.4% organically, driven by sustained activity in civil engine services (+27.3% in dollars) from long-term contracts for CFM56 and LEAP engines, 'a trend that is expected to ease from the second quarter onwards'.

Safran confirms its outlook for 2024 (on a like-for-like and adjusted basis) of sales of around 27.4 billion euros, operating income before non-recurring items close to four billion and free cash flow of around three billion.
