Renishaw plc announced that Geoff McFarland, Group Engineering Director, has informed the Board that, due to family reasons, he has decided to resign as a Director of the Board with effect from 30 June 2019. The Company announced that Geoff and the Board have agreed that he will continue to work with the Company in a new role as Director of Group Technology, reporting to Chief Executive, Will Lee, with responsibility for Renishaw's research centres and intellectual property. This role, while not full time, will allow the Company to continue to be able to draw on the benefits of Geoff's broad product and market expertise developed over 25 years with Renishaw. Geoff joined Renishaw in 1994 and became the Director and General Manager of the CMM Products Division in 1999. He joined the Board in 2002. His current responsibilities are for Group Engineering, Group intellectual property and R&D. His previous responsibilities have included the additive manufacturing product line.
