On Tuesday, Renault announced two appointments to the management committee of Alpine, its sports car brand, in order to strengthen its expertise in the fields of engineering and IT.

In a press release, the carmaker states that Gianluca Pivetti, a 60-year-old executive who has worked for Maserati, Ferrari and Stellantis, has been appointed Global Head of the Alpine platform.

Denis Molle, a 57-year-old IT specialist who joined the group in 1990, will take over as IT Director of Alpine Cars, while retaining his position as IT Engineering Director at Renault.

These two arrivals, effective April 1, come at a time when the group is targeting strong growth for its sports car brand by 2030.
