On Thursday, Orange announced the launch of a new TV set-top box developed using an eco-design approach, with the aim of limiting its environmental impact throughout its lifecycle.

Certified by Bureau Veritas, this device has a 31% lower carbon impact than its predecessor, thanks to the use of shells made from recycled and recyclable plastic, and removable to improve reparability.

It also offers an average 70% reduction in power consumption, thanks to greater sobriety when switched on, and an energy-saving mode.

The TV 6 set-top box also comes in lightweight, compact packaging, made from recycled cardboard from sustainably managed forests, using vegetable-based inks.

In terms of performance, it features a latest-generation processor and a large memory capacity, while integrating the latest versions of video streaming applications (Netflix, Disney+, Prime Video, Paramount+).

The device is also equipped with Amazon's Alexa voice assistant, integrated into all services and applications, for hands-free voice control of its functionalities.
