HAMBURG (dpa-AFX) - Wind turbine manufacturer Nordex is expecting a further improvement in its results this year. Sales are expected to rise to between 7 and 7.7 billion euros, as the company announced on Thursday when presenting its final figures for 2023 in Hamburg. This would be an increase of 13% in the middle of the range compared to the previous year. Of the earnings, 2 to 4 percent are expected to remain as an EBITDA margin after the Hamburg-based company posted an operating loss in 2022 and only just made it into the black in 2023. Nordex CEO José Luis Blanco described 2023 as a transitional year in which the market environment had stabilized overall, despite some fluctuations.

Nordex had already presented preliminary figures for the past year two weeks ago, which have now been confirmed. The bottom line was a loss of almost EUR 303 million for shareholders, which was 40 percent lower than in 2022./lew/stk
