Martí Solà has been named the new general manager of the Gas Natural Fenosa Foundation, replacing Pedro-A. Fàbregas, who has retired.

  • Through this foundation, the multinational energy firm promotes information and training and raises public awareness about improving energy efficiency, the environment and technological innovation in relation to energy.

The Board of Trustees of the GAS NATURAL FENOSA Foundation, chaired bySalvador Gabarró, approved the appointment ofMartí Solà this week, taking up the reins from 1 April.

The general manager of the foundation up until now,Pere-A. Fàbregas, who had held this position since 2004, will be retiring after 48 years with the company, where he has performed different executive roles in the areas of strategy, planning, systems and economics/finance, of which he was general manager.

Martí Solà Sugrañes is a qualified industrial engineer and a graduate of IESE's Management Development Programme. He joined Gas Natural Fenosa in 1986, first working in the Distribution Technical Area. He later performed the roles of East Zone Distribution Director, Director of the Maintenance and Emergencies Service Unit and Director of Distribution Operations. Prior to his retirement, he also managed the Gas Network Management Unit.
