National Development Bank PLC reported earnings results for the third quarter and nine months ended September 30, 2023. For the third quarter, the company reported net interest income was LKR 9,500.88 million compared to LKR 7,322.58 million a year ago. Net income was LKR 3,029.94 million compared to net loss of LKR 1,083.46 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was LKR 7.2968 compared to basic loss per share from continuing operations of LKR 2.607 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share from continuing operations was LKR 7.2968 compared to diluted loss per share from continuing operations of LKR 2.607 a year ago.
For the nine months, net interest income was LKR 24,833.76 million compared to LKR 22,413.03 million a year ago. Net income was LKR 5,420.9 million compared to LKR 641.3 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was LKR 13.0459 compared to LKR 1.5459 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share from continuing operations was LKR 13.0459 compared to LKR 1.5459 a year ago.
