(TSE:4182) entered into share transfer agreement to acquire an additional 25% stake in Mitsubishi Engineering-Plastics Corporation from Mitsubishi Chemical Corporation on February 8, 2022. As of March 31, 2021, Mitsubishi Engineering-Plastics Corporation reported total sales of ¥86.24 billion, negative EBIT of ¥2291 million and net income of ¥665 million. For the year ending March 31, 2021, Mitsubishi Engineering-Plastics Corporation had total assets of ¥56.36 billion and net worth of ¥14.93 billion. The transaction has been approved by the board of directors of Mitsubishi Gas Chemical Company. The transaction is expected to close on April 3, 2023.
