Mirgor Sociedad Anónima, Comercial, Industrial, Financiera, Inmobiliaria y Agropecuaria (BASE:MIRG) acquired Brightstar Argentina SA and Brightstar Fueguina SA from Brightstar Corp. on October 22, 2020. As per terms of transaction, Mirgor Sociedad Anónima, Comercial, Industrial, Financiera, Inmobiliaria y Agropecuaria acquired 2974.464832 million shares of Brightstar Argentina SA and 3103.729995 million shares of Brightstar Fueguina SA. Consideration of $1 and $12 million of debt is paid by Mirgor Sociedad Anónima, Comercial, Industrial, Financiera, Inmobiliaria y Agropecuaria. As of December 10, 2021, Government of Argentina has approved the acquisition.
Mirgor Sociedad Anónima, Comercial, Industrial, Financiera, Inmobiliaria y Agropecuaria (BASE:MIRG) completed the acquisition of Brightstar Argentina SA and Brightstar Fueguina SA from Brightstar Corp. on October 22, 2020. Mirgor retained local Brightstar assets and will take charge of the 500 employees. Andrés Mercau Saavedra and Gerardo Biritos of Cueto Rua, Mercau Saavedra & Biritos Abogados acted as legal advisors to Mirgor Sociedad Anónima, Comercial, Industrial, Financiera, Inmobiliaria y Agropecuaria. Tomás Allende, Alvaro J. Galli and Santiago L. Montezanti of Estudio Beccar Varela acted as legal advisors to Brightstar Corp.
Mirgor SACIFIA is an Argentina-based company primarily engaged in the household electronics manufacture. The Company's activities are structured in two business segments: Automotive, which is specialized in the production and distribution of automotive air conditioning systems, gearboxes, heat exchanger units and wheel assemblies, and Home Electronic Appliances, which is involved in the manufacture and commercialization of residential and commercial air conditioning units, microwave ovens, monitor screens, notebooks, sound equipment and cellular phones under Samsung brand name, among others.
