Macay Holdings, Inc. reported earnings results for the second quarter and six months ended June 30, 2022. For the second quarter, the company reported sales was PHP 3,252.82 million compared to PHP 2,543.21 million a year ago. Net income was PHP 52.37 million compared to PHP 34.74 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was PHP 0.05 compared to PHP 0.03 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share from continuing operations was PHP 0.05 compared to PHP 0.03 a year ago.
For the six months, sales was PHP 5,515.06 million compared to PHP 4,778.72 million a year ago. Net loss was PHP 29.99 million compared to PHP 16.75 million a year ago. Basic loss per share from continuing operations was PHP 0.03 compared to PHP 0.02 a year ago. Diluted loss per share from continuing operations was PHP 0.03 compared to PHP 0.02 a year ago.
Macay Holdings, Inc. is a Philippines-based investment holding company for ARC Refreshments Corporation (ARC), ARC Holdings, Inc., Artemisplus Express Inc. (AEI) and Macay Global Ventures Inc. (MGVI). The Companyâs brands include RC Cola, RC Cola No Sugar, Juicy Lemon, Fruit Soda Orange, Seetrus, Arcyâs Rootbeer, Rite âN Lite and Alon. ARC is engaged in the bottling, distribution, marketing and sales of RC Cola and other carbonated drinks in the Philippines. AEI is a canteen concessionaire in the Philippines, which serves clients mainly from BPO, corporate, manufacturing and hospital segments, and the ventured into the sale of packed meals and frozen meals. AEI operates under the trade name Kitchen City. MGVI owns RC Global Beverages Inc. (RCGBI), which has global licensing rights to RC Cola and associated brands in over 100 countries (excluding the United States, Mexico and Canada). RCGBI also develops flavors and provides concentrates for customers in different countries.
