La Comer, S.A.B. De C.V. Announced earnings results for the first quarter ended March 31, 2020. For the first quarter, the company announced sales was MXN 6,183.912 million compared to MXN 4,921.621 million a year ago. Operating income was MXN 463.721 million compared to MXN 299.825 million a year ago. Net income was MXN 427.917 million compared to MXN 260.646 million a year ago.
La Comer SAB de CV is a Mexico-based company primarily engaged in the food retail sector. The Company focuses on operating self-service stores under La Comer, Fresko, City Market and Sumesa brand names. It sells general grocery products, fresh fruit and vegetables, meat and fish, soft drinks, alcohol, as well as pet food and accessories, among others. Its stores also distribute pharmacy and bakery products, as well as serve ready to eat meals, such as tapas, seafood snack, tortilla, pizza, coffee and cake. Furthermore, the Company operates a restaurant, called Jajalpa, where organizes occasional events and meetings.
