Konoshima Chemical Co.,Ltd. (TSE:4026) announces a share repurchase program. Under the program, the company will repurchase up to 148,000 shares, representing 1.62% for ¥300 million. The purpose of the program is to carry out agile capital policies in response to changes in the business environment. The program is valid till June 11, 2021. As of April 30, 2021, the company had 9,164,045 shares (excluding treasury stock) and 75,955 own shares.
Konoshima Chemical Co.,Ltd. is a Japan-based company mainly engaged in the building material business and the chemical products business. The Company operates through two business segments. The Building Materials segment is engaged in the manufacture and sale of residential and non-residential ceramic siding, eaves, gables, interior decorative panels, building interior materials, fire-resistant panels as non-combustible building materials for residential and non-residential buildings. The Chemicals Products segment is engaged in the manufacture and sale of magnesium oxide, magnesium chloride, magnesium carbonate and ceramic products.
