Jollibee Foods Corporation reported earnings results for the third quarter and nine months ended September 30, 2023. For the third quarter, the company reported sales was PHP 58,650.59 million compared to PHP 53,063.43 million a year ago. Revenue was PHP 61,531.43 million compared to PHP 55,447.51 million a year ago. Net income was PHP 2,434.41 million compared to PHP 2,142.17 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was PHP 2.081 compared to PHP 1.93 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share from continuing operations was PHP 2.078 compared to PHP 1.925 a year ago.
For the nine months, sales was PHP 169,157.5 million compared to PHP 143,089.59 million a year ago. Revenue was PHP 177,409.97 million compared to PHP 150,355.87 million a year ago. Net income was PHP 6,822.67 million compared to PHP 7,238.86 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was PHP 5.815 compared to PHP 6.221 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share from continuing operations was PHP 5.804 compared to PHP 6.204 a year ago.
Jollibee Foods Corporation is a Philippines-based company, which is involved primarily in the development, operation and franchising of quick service restaurants (QSRs) under the trade names Jollibee, Chowking, Greenwich, Red Ribbon, Yong He King, Hong Zhuang Yuan, Mang Inasal, Burger King, Highlands Coffee, PHO24, Smashburger, Tim Ho Wan, Tortazo, The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, Panda Express, Yoshinoya, and Milksha. Its segments include food service, franchising and leasing. The food service segment is involved in the operations of QSRs and the manufacture of food products to be sold to Company-owned and franchised QSR outlets. The franchising segment is involved in the franchising of the Company's QSR store concepts. The leasing segment leases store sites mainly to its independent franchisees. The Company has approximately 1,204 Jollibee stores nationwide, of which 768 were franchised and 436 were Company owned. In addition, outside the Philippines, it has approximately 378 stores.
