Irbid District Electricity Company will buy the output of an 11-MWp photovoltaic (PV) park with energy storage that will be built in Jordan. The company has signed a power purchase agreement (PPA) for the proposed facility. It will use nearly 34,350 polycrystalline panels of 320 Wp each, which will be mounted on Philadelphia Solar PS-1P-Tracker systems. It will be equipped with a 12-WMh lithium-ion energy storage system. The PV park will be an expansion of the Al Badiya power generation plant. It is touted as the biggest power storage system in the Middle East.
