(Alliance News) - The following stocks are the leading risers and fallers among London Main Market small-caps on Tuesday.

----------

SMALL-CAP - WINNERS

----------

On The Beach Group PLC, up 3.7% at 163.80 pence, 12-month range 81.24p-192.19p. Shares in the package holiday company rise after Liberum raises its recommendation to 'buy' from 'hold'.

SMALL-CAP - LOSERS

----------

Headlam Group PLC, down 5.3% at 199.84p, 12-month range 176.00p-350.00p. The floor coverings distributor provides an update for the first eleven months of the year. It expects 2023 results to be broadly in line with expectations, based on trading patterns observed to date. However, it notes the market in September and October was "weaker than expected", reflecting the impact of the cost-of-living crisis on the residential repair, maintenance and improvement market, as consumers cut back spending on home improvement projects. Headlam says that trading improved in November.

----------

S&U PLC, down 3.9% at 2,200.00p, 12-month range 1,950.00p-2,570.00p. The specialist motor and property financier gives a trading update for the period since August 1. S&U says its "continues to make steady, if more cautious, progress." It says net receivables now stand at GBP446 million, up from GBP404 million in December last year. "Nevertheless, caution is necessary. Those burdens weighing on business are reflected in a lack of consumer confidence, cost-of-living pressures, persistently higher rates of interest, and a new raft of regulation, all of which inevitably affect profitability," S&U cautions.
