GlycoreTranspsplantation AB (publ) announced that the company has entered into an agreement with a distributor in South Africa for the company's transplant product, Glycosorb ABO. As part of the company's strategy for market expansion, the company has signed an agreement with a distributor in South Africa. The distributor sells a leading global brand to preserve organs outside the body and keep them in optimal condition while awaiting transplantation.

Glycosorb ABO thus fits in very well with their existing product portfolio and customer network. The agreement marks the first entry of the Glycosorb ABO product on the African continent. In South Africa, about 240 kidney transplants are performed per year, of which about 40% are from living donors.

The number of liver transplants amounts to about 70 per year. In terms of size, the market is on a par with Norway. As a first step the distributor will register the product, a job that is estimated to take a few months.
