MADRID, Feb 8 (Reuters) - Ence Energía estimated on Wednesday that a favorable Supreme Court ruling on its Pontevedra plant will have a positive impact on its 2022 net profit of 169 million euros ($181 million).

Ence will publish its annual results on February 28.

The company said on Tuesday that the Spanish Supreme Court overturned an earlier ruling, which had ordered Ence to close its pulp production plant located in the Galician city of Pontevedra.

The environmental group Greenpeace Spain and the Pontevedra City Council had tried to block the extension of the concession for the plant, located on public land by the sea.
