Centrais Eletricas Brasileiras (Eletrobras) specializes in the production, transportation, and sale of electrical energy. Net sales (including intragroup) break down by activity as follows:
- production of electricity (50.5%);
- transmission of electricity (25.4%): at the end of 2017, owned a network of 63,833 km of transmission lines;
- distribution of electricity (24.1%).
Power is distributed through a network of intermediaries and distributors.
