Camellia Plc announced that Susan Walker, Chief Financial Officer (?CFO?) has indicated her intention not to stand for re-election as CFO at the forthcoming Annual General Meeting (?AGM?) which is expected to be held on 6 June 2024. Susan has made a significant contribution to the Company since her appointment as CFO in 2015. The Board has undertaken an extensive candidate search process to identify a new CFO and announced the appointment of Oliver Capon, age 53.

Oliver is an experienced and commercial CFO with thirty years of experience, initially at Arthur Andersen and subsequently at Shell Plc, where he worked in the UK and internationally. Oliver has an MEngin Engineering Science from Cambridge University and is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England & Wales. He brings to the Company deep technical and strategic capability, significant international business experience, strong commercial acumen and extensive leadership skills.

Oliver will initially join the Company as Finance Director Designate on 28 May 2024 and will become CFO following the AGM, and is expected to be appointed to the Board as a director concurrently. Susan will continue working with Camellia to facilitate a smooth handover until 30 September 2024 and will, as part of her new portfolio, provide advisory support until 31 March 2025. She will remain a Non-Executive Director of certain of the Company's boards, including the Goodricke Group Limited and Bangladesh tea company boards.
