C&A Modas S.A. reported earnings results for the third quarter and nine months ended September 30, 2021. For the third quarter, the company reported sales was BRL 1,339.41 million compared to BRL 1,067.15 million a year ago. Net income was BRL 243.9 million compared to net loss of BRL 28.21 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was BRL 0.7913 compared to basic loss per share from continuing operations of BRL 0.0915 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share from continuing operations was BRL 0.7913 compared to diluted loss per share from continuing operations of BRL 0.0915 a year ago.
For the nine months, sales was BRL 3,151.28 million compared to BRL 2,261.53 million a year ago. Net income was BRL 174.6 million compared to net loss of BRL 275.65 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was BRL 0.5664 compared to basic loss per share from continuing operations of BRL 0.8943 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share from continuing operations was BRL 0.5664 compared to diluted loss per share from continuing operations of BRL 0.8943 a year ago.
