Byggmax Group Appoints Karl Sandlund as New President

The Board of Directors of Byggmax Group AB (publ) has appointed Karl Sandlund as new President of the company. Karl joins from a role as COO of AcadeMedia and has previously had leading positions at SAS, most recently Chief Commercial Officer. Karl Sandlund joints from a current role as COO of AcadeMedia. He has previously had several leading management positions at SAS, most recently Chief Commercial Officer and interim CEO. He started his career at McKinsey & Company in Stockholm, and holds a M.Sc. in Industrial Engineering and Management from Linköping University.
Karl will take up on his position no later than October 17, 2023.
Byggmax Group AB is a Sweden-based company active within the construction materials retail sector. The Company is engaged in the discount retail of construction materials in the Nordic do-it-yourself (DIY) market. Its offering includes basic construction materials, such as wood, stone and concrete, isolation materials, doors, windows, flooring, paints and coatings, tools, screws, bolts, basic electrical and ventilation materials, kitchen and toilet fittings, as well as wooden cottage sets.
