AS VIRŠI-A opens a store in Origo shopping centre

Today, on 21 March, AS VIRŠI-A (hereinafter - Virši) opened its second store which operates in a different format to its usual service station offering. It is located at Satekles Street 2B, on the ground floor of the Origo shopping centre, providing a convenient and modern shopping experience for locals in a hurry as well as visitors to the capital.

The new 130-square metre shop offers a well-curated and carefully selected range of products, offering high-quality and healthy snacks, a variety of beverages and everyday essentials to suit the needs of those working nearby as well as residents and visitors to the city centre. Opening hours are from 8:00 to 22:00.

"By introducing this new Virši store, our aim is to offer people an easily accessible, modern and visitor-friendly place to purchase a warm and wholesome lunch or pop in and get a favourite freshly roasted coffee or healthy snack. The city centre is developing quickly, with new office buildings and a high-speed train line under construction which will link Riga to other European countries, alongside existing buildings and the usual railway traffic. Therefore, we want to provide a growing number of visitors with everything they need on a daily basis, creating a pleasant experience and a much-needed break from the bustle of city life," saysLinda Prūse, Member of the Board and Head of Retail at Virši.

As the neighbourhooddevelops, the multifunctional shopping center 'Origo' is evolving into a strategically significant transport hub, connecting different cities, and promoting visitor influx to Riga.

"The tenant roster at 'Origo' is continually expanding, and we are delighted to be the choice of popular international brands and local companies. I am confident that the new Virši concept store will be an excellent addition to 'Origo's' extensive offerings, providing a delightful shopping experience for every visitor and guest to the city of Riga," saysEvija Majevska, Commercial Director of Linstow Baltic and Origo Multifunctional Centre.

This will be the second Virši store that doesn't offer refuelling or drivers' supplies. Last September, the first store of this kind opened its doors in the centre of Riga, on Tērbatas Street, and within half a year it came to be very popular with the locals. Meanwhile, since last summer, the first barista robot in the Baltics has been delighting coffee lovers in the Spice shopping centre.
