Armstrong World Industries, Inc. reported earnings results for the fourth quarter ended December 31, 2023. For the fourth quarter, the company reported sales was USD 312.3 million compared to USD 304.5 million a year ago. Net income was USD 46.8 million compared to USD 48.8 million a year ago.
Diluted earnings per share from continuing operations was USD 1.06 compared to USD 1.07 a year ago.
Armstrong World Industries, Inc. designs, innovates, and manufactures ceiling and wall system solutions in the Americas. The Company manufactures and sources products made of numerous materials, including mineral fiber, fiberglass wool, metal, wood, wood fiber, glass-reinforced-gypsum and felt. It also manufactures ceiling suspension system (grid) products. Its Mineral Fiber segment produces suspended mineral fiber and soft fiber ceiling systems. Its products offer various performance attributes, such as acoustical control, rated fire protection, and energy efficiency. Its Architectural Specialties segment produces, designs and sources ceilings, walls and facades for use in commercial settings. Products are available in metal, felt and wood, in addition to various colors, shapes and designs. It sells standard, premium and customized products. Architectural Specialties products are sold primarily to resale distributors and direct customers, primarily ceiling systems contractors.
