Arealink Co.,Ltd. reported non-consolidated earnings results for the first half ended June 30, 2014. For the period, the company reported operating revenue of JPY 9,613 million, operating income of JPY 1,359 million, ordinary income of JPY 1,257 million and net income of JPY 891 million or JPY 7.26 per share against operating revenue of JPY 6,461 million, operating income of JPY 898 million, ordinary income of JPY 865 million and net income of JPY 782 million or JPY 6.38 per share for the same period a year ago. Net income before income taxes was JPY 1,356,976,000 against JPY 870,691,000 for the same period a year ago. Cash provided by operating activities amounted to JPY 4,327 million compared to JPY 1,462 million in cash provided in the same period of the previous fiscal year. This was due mainly to an increase of JPY 1,356 million in net income before tax and a decrease of JPY 2,995 million in inventories. Purchase of intangible assets was JPY 8,717,000 against JPY 6,511,000 for the same period a year ago. Purchase of noncurrent assets was JPY 120,514,000 against JPY 2,587,106,000 for the same period a year ago.
The company expects to pay year end dividend of JPY 2.80 per share for the fiscal year 2014.
For the fiscal year ending December 31, 2014, the company provided non-consolidated earnings guidance. It expects net sales of JPY 15,757 million, operating income of JPY 2,145 million, ordinary income of JPY 1,955 million and net income of JPY 1,500 million or JPY 12.22 per share.
Arealink Co., Ltd. is mainly engaged in the provision leasing services of storage space. The Company operates in two business segments. The Real Estate Operation Service segment is involved in the provision of storage space, the setting of containers, the parking lot business, the lease, maintenance and management of secondhand real estate including offices, stores, dwelling houses and hotels, the provision of small offices, among other businesses. The Real Estate Revitalization and Liquidation Service segment adds value to its purchased real estate properties by conducting renovation works to the buildings, and sells the properties to investors.
