AES Brasil Energia S.A. reported earnings results for the second quarter and six months ended June 30, 2023. For the second quarter, the company reported sales was BRL 762.98 million compared to BRL 620.89 million a year ago. Net income was BRL 8.15 million compared to net loss of BRL 10.26 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was BRL 0.01354 compared to basic loss per share from continuing operations of BRL 0.02085 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share from continuing operations was BRL 0.01331.
For the six months, sales was BRL 1,549.24 million compared to BRL 1,297.71 million a year ago. Net income was BRL 22.08 million compared to BRL 26.82 million a year ago.
