• Domestic sales for the month were 107.5% of those for the same period of the previous year, consisting of 106.2% of store sales and 111.3% of online sales, while same-store sales were 107.5%. We estimate

that the impact of an extra business day and holiday due to the leap year is approximately +6.0%. Same-store sales for the month were 99.5% of the pre-Covid level in FY2019 and have mostly recovered. Since our profit levels are now projected to exceed pre-Covid levels, we will stop providing pre-Covid comparisons, which we have been doing monthly for four years.

• In the store sales channel, bargain sales of knits and short coats suitable for this time of year continued to be strong throughout the month. In addition, against the backdrop of relatively rare high temperatures,

the spring clothing sale season has begun in earnest, combined with the peak period of sales of items for ceremonies, resulting in a clear shift to proper-price sales for spring clothing. The online sales channel experienced a trend similar to that of the store sales channel in terms of best-sellers and sales. However, high-price coats and jackets were active during the final bargain sale, especially department store brands such as INDIVI and TAKEO KIKUCHI.

• As for product categories, items for ceremonies that started selling in the second half of January peaked toward the end of the month, while products that represent spring outerwear, such as casual mountain

parkas and short trench coats, started selling earlier than in previous years. In the area of brands, our middle-lower brands, represented by OPAQUE.CLIP, THE SHOP TK, and grove, continued to lead sales, while many apparel brands, led by DRESSTERIOR, INDIVI, Dessin, and RAGTAG, witnessed high growth in sales.
